CGI interactive tours and CGI Flythroughs
With a dedicated in-house architectural visualisations team complemented by our creative direction team, we create interactive CGI presentations allowing customers to visualise off-plan or under construction properties or developments. We also create CGI flythroughs to showcase off-plan schemes and properties in the way that you want clients to view the spaces.
How Do you Create a CGI Interactive Tour or Flythrough?
It all starts with the storyboard. First we define the story that we need to tell your customers so that we can decide what spaces need to be modelled and what important features need to be shown to the customers. In the case of CGI Flythroughs, we then define a rough path for the cameras using a basic floor plan view.
Then comes the modelling. Our architectural visualisations team create, enhance, texture. We now get to create a wireframe of the path and make sure that it is picking up all the essential ingredients that make the property special. At different points in the modelling process, we output low resolution CGIs of the spaces to ensure that the visual meets requirements.
Once all the spaces are modelled and the path is agreed, we look at final lighting, colour and texture and finally render the video or tour (this is a process that can take a number of days of computer time, especially for 4K or HD outputs). Typically, we also incorporate the flythrough into a larger video showcasing the local area and other benefits of the scheme or property.
How Can a CGI help you sell off plan?
For a long time, the benefit of CGI images has been understood in the property industry, they provide an opportunity to show the customer what cannot yet be seen:
- Allow a customer to visualise a property that doesn’t yet exist.
- Provides an opportunity to show the high quality specification or even detail specification options for early buyers
- Feature key selling points visually on the virtual tour and provide information about property features.
- Use virtual reality headsets to view the space.
- Allow potential customers to view the property from the comfort of their armchair.
What Information is Needed?
In order to create a CGI interactive tour or flythrough, we need some information from you about the property or scheme. Ideally, we will receive full sets of architectural plans in autoCAD or PDF for us to model as the basis for the CGI interactive tour or CGI flythrough.
Some of our customers even provide us with existing models of spaces that we can use to. If you have an existing model in 3D Max or other suitable software, this can help to reduce your cost with us.
